A ceramic coating does not magically last 5 years untouched — the gloss and hydrophobics need refreshing. Annual maintenance includes a decontamination wash, light polish to remove embedded contamination, and a layer of ceramic spray or maintenance sealant. Skipping maintenance lets the coating dull and the warranty void. Most premium pro coatings include annual maintenance as part of the warranty.
