What is included
- Decon wash of trim pieces
- Degrease with alcohol or dedicated trim prep
- Apply trim restoration coating (water-based, no silicone)
- Let cure 30 minutes
- Second coat on heavily faded pieces
How we do it
- Wash: Decon wash the trim with degreaser to strip old dressing residues.
- Wipe: Isopropyl alcohol or trim prep wipe to give the coating a clean surface.
- Apply: Trim coating applied with foam applicator in even strokes.
- Cure: 30 minutes for first coat.
- Second coat: On heavily oxidized trim where one coat does not bring it back fully.
- Final: Wipe excess so no residue migrates onto paint.

When this is not the right call
If the plastic is cracked or going chalky on the surface, no coating will restore it permanently — at that point we are masking, not fixing. Replacement is the right call.

How long does trim restoration last?
Quality coatings last 6 months to 2 years depending on sun exposure. Daily drivers in heavy sun (south Raleigh, lots of asphalt) get shorter life than garaged cars.
Will it come off in the rain?
After it cures, no. During the 4-hour cure window, yes — keep it dry.
My trim is already gray and chalky. Can you bring it back?
Usually yes, with a two-coat application. Truly chalked surfaces (rough to the touch, white powder transfer) are harder and may need replacement.
