We started Mobile Detailing Doctor because most of the shops in the Raleigh area either run a tunnel-wash assembly line or quote a ceramic coating off a phone call. Neither approach respects the car or the customer.
Our process is closer to how a doctor works than how a car wash works. We start every job with a real walk-around diagnosis. We write down what we see. We give you a treatment plan with a price, a timeline, and what we will not do. You decide. Then we do the work, hand-correct any defects, and protect the finish so it actually lasts.

What we do
Boat Detailing
On-site boat detailing for runabouts, cabin cruisers, and yachts up to 40 feet. Gel coat correction, vinyl care, brightwork, and hull oxidation reversal.
Ceramic Coating
Professional ceramic coating with full paint prep. Multi-year hydrophobic protection on properly corrected paint.
Engine Bay Detailing
Safe engine bay clean. Cover sensitive electronics, degrease, rinse, dry, and dress plastic and rubber components.
Exterior Detailing
Exterior-only deep clean. Wash, clay, light polish, sealant or wax. Tires and trim dressed. No interior work.
Full Detail
A full detail is interior plus exterior, done by hand. Vacuum, steam, clay, polish, seal. We bring the water and power.
Headlight Restoration
Sand, polish, and UV-seal foggy yellowed headlights to clear. Most cars done in under 90 minutes.
Interior Detailing
Deep clean and condition of the entire interior — carpets, upholstery, leather, plastic, headliner, glass. Stains, odors, pet hair, all of it.
Leather Care
Clean, condition, and protect leather seats and interior leather. Light cracks and color repair available.
Motorcycle Detailing
Detailing for motorcycles, cruisers, sport bikes, and ADV bikes. Chrome polish, leather seat care, chain degrease, and protective sealants.
Odor Removal
Targeted odor removal for smoke, pet, mildew, and food smells. Combination of deep clean plus ozone or hydroxyl treatment as needed.
Paint Correction
Machine polish to remove swirl marks, scratches, water etching, and oxidation. Single-stage or two-stage depending on paint condition.
Paint Protection Film
Self-healing urethane film applied to high-impact areas — front bumper, hood, fenders, mirrors. Stops rock chips. Optional full-front or full-vehicle install.
RV Detailing
On-site detailing for travel trailers, fifth wheels, Class A/B/C motorhomes. Roof, body, interior, awning, and underbody where reachable.
Surface Decontamination
Iron, tar, sap, and overspray removal. Pulls bonded contamination the wash cannot. Required prep step before any paint correction or coating.
Trim Restoration
Restore faded gray and white exterior plastic trim back to deep black. Multi-year coatings available for daily drivers.
Wheel and Tire Detailing
Deep clean of wheels (faces and barrels), tires, and undercarriage. Iron and brake dust removal. Tire dressing and optional wheel sealant.

Diagnosis
We arrive, walk the vehicle with you, and write down what we see. Paint condition, interior wear, problem areas, anything that affects the work. Free, takes about 15 minutes.

Treatment plan
We give you a written quote with three things on it: what we will do, what we will not do, and what it costs. No phone quotes for big jobs. The plan is what we are doing, in plain language.

The work
We bring water, power, and gear. We set up where the car is parked. You do not need to be present. We text photos at the midpoint and at the end.

Recovery time
Some services have a no-wash window after the work (ceramic coating: 7 days, PPF: 7 days, paint correction without protection: 24 hours). We tell you up front and remind you when we hand off.

Is ceramic coating worth it?
If you keep your car 3+ years and care about how it looks, yes. If you trade every 2 years, get a sealant instead.

How long does ceramic coating last?
Honestly, 18 months to 5 years depending on the tier, the prep, and how the car is maintained. The 9-year manufacturer claims assume ideal conditions that rarely match real life.

Ceramic coating vs PPF: which one wins?
They solve different problems. Ceramic blocks chemistry (water spots, UV, bird droppings). PPF blocks physical damage (rock chips, scratches). The right answer is often both.

How often should you detail your car?
Twice a year for most daily drivers. Quarterly for cars parked outside. Monthly if it is a show car or you commute long highway miles.

Is mobile detailing worth it vs going to a shop?
For most people, yes. Convenience (we come to you), same quality work, similar pricing. The shop wins on heavy correction jobs requiring controlled lighting.

Do I need to provide water or power for mobile detailing?
No. We bring a 200-gallon water tank and a generator. We need a parking spot and about 15 feet of clearance around the vehicle.
Fleet detailing
We run recurring detailing programs for delivery vans, sprinter fleets, work trucks, dealerships, and rideshare drivers. On-site at your yard, your shop, or your lot. Per-vehicle pricing scales with fleet size. Contract billing available.
