How a Mobile Detailing Doctor visit works

No surprises. No upsells. No phone quotes on big jobs. Here is the full process from the first call to the cure window after the work.

1. The call or form submit

You call, text, or fill out the quote form. A real person responds — typically within a few hours during business hours. We ask three things: what is the vehicle, what is the service you are after, and where are you. If you are not sure what service you need, we walk through it on the phone.

Phone gets you a ballpark range. For bigger jobs (ceramic coating, paint correction, PPF) we schedule an in-person diagnosis before committing to a number. We are not the shop that quotes $2,000 jobs over the phone without seeing the car.

2. The diagnosis

A licensed detailer comes to where the vehicle is parked. We do a 15-minute walk-around with you. We look at the paint under raked light, the interior condition, the wheels, the trim, anything that affects scope.

We write down what we see. Pre-existing damage gets documented with photos so there is no question about what was there before vs after.

The diagnosis is free. There is no obligation. If we look at the car and recommend a smaller service than you thought you needed, we say so.

3. The treatment plan

We give you a written quote covering three things:

  • What we will do — the specific work, in plain language. No "premium package" jargon.
  • What we will not do — if there is something you might expect that is not in scope (panel replacement, mechanical work, glass repair), we say so up front.
  • What it costs — final number, including any add-ons or material costs.

You decide. If you want to think about it, we leave the quote and follow up once. We do not pressure-close jobs at the curb.

4. The work

We arrive on the scheduled day with water, power, and the gear. Setup takes about 15 minutes. We work where the car is parked — driveway, office lot, apartment complex with permission.

You do not need to be present. We text photos at the midpoint and a full set at the end. Most jobs run between 2 hours (wheel detail) and 12 hours (two-stage correction). Ceramic coatings cure overnight in our environment.

The crew is uniformed. We keep the area cleaner than we found it. The generator runs about as loud as a window AC unit.

5. The recovery window

Some services have a no-wash window after the work:

  • Ceramic coating — 7 days no water contact. 30 days before any wax or sealant.
  • PPF — 7 days before any wash. 30 days before any wax on the film.
  • Paint correction without protection on top — 24 hours before any rain or wash, so the polish residue can flash off.
  • Most other services — drive away immediately.

We tell you the recovery window at handoff, write it on the invoice, and text a reminder the day after.

6. The warranty

Ceramic coatings carry a written warranty for the product's rated life (2, 5, or 9 years depending on tier). PPF installs carry a 10-year warranty. The warranty covers workmanship plus product performance under normal use and routine maintenance.

You get the warranty paperwork at handoff. It stays with the vehicle and transfers to the next owner on resale.

If something looks wrong within the warranty window, send a photo. We come back out.
