What is the difference between a car wash and a detail?
A wash gets the dirt off. A detail does prep work the wash skips. Clay bar, polish, deep interior clean, sealant. Detail takes 4-6 hours; a wash takes 15 minutes.

No. The work that separates a detail from a wash is the prep and protection steps — clay bar, polish, sealant on the exterior, and the steam/condition/protect cycle on the interior.
How often do I need each?
Wash every 2-3 weeks. Detail twice a year.
Tunnel wash vs hand wash?
Tunnel washes are convenient and harsh — brushes and acidic detergents. Hand washes are slower and gentler. We are biased here.
