How do you polish aluminum wheels?

Polished aluminum wheels oxidize over time. Surface darkens and pits. Restoration: clean with dedicated aluminum cleaner, sand progressively (1000-1500-2000-3000 grit) to remove pitting, polish with metal polish, seal with dedicated wheel sealant. Hand work: 2-4 hours per wheel. Machine polish: 1-2 hours per wheel. Result: mirror finish if work is thorough. Re-polish needed annually.
