How many stages of paint correction are there?
Three: one-step (light defects), two-step (most defects, 95% removal), and three-step (concours-level, very rare). Most daily drivers need one-step. Show cars and luxury cars usually want two-step. Three-step is for show vehicles only.

When to pick something else.
Skip three-step correction unless the car is going to a concours event. Diminishing returns past two-step are not worth the additional clear coat removal.
