Headliners are foam-backed fabric glued to a rigid panel. Too much liquid soaks the adhesive and causes sagging — the most common DIY headliner disaster. The right method: spray a small amount of fabric cleaner on a microfiber, then gently agitate. Never spray cleaner directly on the headliner. A wet-vac extractor speeds drying. Smoke stains often require a professional ozone treatment.
