Question Β· Paint Correction
What is paint correction?
Machine polishing to remove swirl marks, scratches, water etching, and oxidation by carefully cutting through a small amount of clear coat.
This question is part of our Paint Correction service. See the full service overview, what's included, and how to schedule a walk-around.
WHEN THIS IS NOT THE RIGHT CALL
When to pick something else.
Skip correction if the paint has already been polished thin (we measure with a paint depth gauge). Going further risks burning through the clear coat.
FAQS
Common follow-up questions.
Will correction damage my paint?
Done wrong, yes. Too aggressive a compound or too much pressure burns through clear coat. We measure thickness before and during. Done right, correction does not damage paint.
Is it permanent?
The defects are permanently removed. New defects accumulate from washing and weather. A ceramic coating on top extends the corrected look.
How much clear coat do you remove?
Single-step removes about 0.2-0.5 microns. Two-stage removes 0.5-1.5 microns. Factory clear coat is 30-50 microns. We do not get close to dangerous.

The whole experience was exceptional. They did a great job of communicating from time of us setting up the appointment. They basically made the car look brand new and I couldn't recommend them enough. They did a great job.
