Do RV roofs need special cleaning?
Yes. Rubber membrane roofs need cleaners that will not degrade the material, and every roof wash doubles as an inspection of the seams and sealant that keep water out of the coach. We walk the roof carefully and clean it as its own step.
Most RV roofs are EPDM or TPO membrane, basically a rubber sheet, and the wrong cleaner accelerates the chalking that already happens as the membrane ages. Petroleum-based products are the usual offender. We use membrane-safe cleaners and rinse thoroughly so the runoff does not sit in the gutters.
The part owners actually care about: while we are up there, we look at every seam, vent surround, and sealant bead. Cracked lap sealant is how water gets into an RV, and by the time it shows inside the coach the repair bill has a comma in it. We are not a roof-repair shop, but we will photograph anything that needs one and show you before we leave.

Fiberglass and aluminum roofs are less chemically fussy, but the seam inspection is worth the same attention. Water damage does not care what the roof is made of.
