How do you wash an RV without scratching it?
Soft brushes rated for painted and gelcoat surfaces, lots of foam pre-soak, and washing top-down in sections. The scratches you see on RV sidewalls mostly come from stiff truck brushes and dry dust wiping.
An RV has ten times the panel area of a car, so technique that barely matters on a sedan gets multiplied into visible damage on a forty-foot sidewall. The classic mistake is a stiff-bristle truck brush on dry, dusty fiberglass. That is how sidewalls end up hazed with straight-line scratches you can see down the whole coach in low sun.
Our process starts with a foam soak to float the dust off, then soft-flagged brushes on the high panels and hand mitts anywhere we can reach. Top down, section by section, rinsing constantly. It takes longer. It is also the entire difference between a coach that shines and one that looks brushed.
