Do you detail chrome and polished aluminum on bikes?
Yes. Chrome gets cleaned, de-hazed, and sealed. Polished aluminum gets brought back with metal polish and finished with protection that slows the dulling. The two metals behave differently and get different products.
Chrome and bare aluminum are where cruiser and classic bike owners live and die, and they are different jobs. Chrome is a thin plated layer: it wants gentle cleaning, a fine de-hazing polish, and a sealant to keep road film and winter moisture off the surface. Polished aluminum is solid metal that oxidizes continuously, so it needs actual metal polish to cut the dull layer back, then protection to stretch the time before the next session.
On the walk-around we check every bright part and tell you which pieces will come back to full mirror and which are pitted past polishing. That honesty up front is why the after photos match what we promised.

When to pick something else.
Pitted chrome, where corrosion has broken through the plating from underneath, cannot be polished back. We can make it clean and slow the spread, but re-plating is the only true fix.
