Question Β· Ceramic Coating
Ceramic coating vs wax: Which one do you need?
Wax is a 6-12 week protectant that looks warm. Ceramic is a 2-7 year protectant that beads aggressively. They solve different problems.

WHEN THIS IS NOT THE RIGHT CALL
When to pick something else.
Skip ceramic if you want the classic carnauba glow on a show car. That softer wet look is wax-specific. Skip wax if you actually want set-it-and-forget-it protection.
FAQS
Common follow-up questions.
Can I wax over ceramic coating?
Yes. Wax on top adds gloss without harming the coating. It just gives you more maintenance work.
Does ceramic look as good as wax?
Different look. Ceramic is harder, slicker, glossy. Wax is warmer, deeper, softer. Personal preference.
Which protects better in summer?
Ceramic. Wax breaks down under direct heat starting at about 130Β°F.
